Ok this list is an improvement on the original one but like…
1. That is a good point, I didn’t really consider hot drinks!
2. Again, didn’t think about drinking hot tea, we only drink iced tea where I’m from, so that may be useful for others!
3. There is no recycling place where I live because it is a small town so this isn’t necessary for me but may be for others who have a recycling place.
4. I’ve never had a mattress get moldy being on the floor. It shouldn’t get moldy without some form of moisture on or around it.
5. To me you need body wash OR a bar of soap, to wash with. Also conditioner may or may not be necessary. This list, just like the other one, can and should be used to fit one’s own needs. Someone moving to an apartment should be able to use their own discretion to know what they truly will need. As with the other post, this is just a guide, not a rule book.
7. I’m not assuming anything. A lot of people these days don’t know how to sew. Again, this list is a guide to be used to one’s own discretion.
8. Again, being in a small town, there are no areas that accept disposable batteries here. If you have one in your area, that’s great! Add that to your list.
9. I totally agree! I crossed out the food list because I wanted people to not feel pressured to have everything there! I want them to get things they will use, realistically.
Thank you so much for the things I didn’t think of! xx
Tbh this is a list I interpreted as stuff to have IMMEDIATELY. Like. Even if you do know how to sew, you probably won’t need a kit within the first two weeks (if you don’t already have one).
An electric kettle makes things easier, but you can make do without for a few months. Especially if you move in the summer.
It can take some people a month or two to either find a cheap bedframe or save up for one. You don’t need it RIGHT THIS SECOND, you can move and check the local thrift stores and save up a bit first.
That kind of thing, you know?
Yes, that is the perfect way to interpret this list! Thank you!
